Jennifer Gilmer, CKD, founded Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath in Chevy Chase, MD, in 1997. Jennifer has designed more than a thousand kitchens during her 30 year career. She is the author of “The Kitchen Bible,” the essential guide for homeowners undertaking kitchen renovations. With more than 250 full color photographs and 224 pages, the “Bible” is a total immersive design experience. The first edition quickly sold out and the second printing will come out in May 2016.

Jennifer’s designs have won numerous awards, including the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s top Pinnacle of Design Award. She is consistently recognized as one of the foremost authorities on kitchen design and her insights on design trends are frequently quoted in print and online. She is currently presenting a seminar series to the nation’s design trade for Kitchen and Bath Design News entitled “Client Engagement Strategies for Today’s Evolving Market” in eight key markets.

Her work has been featured in numerous national publications including “The Washington Post,” “Better Homes & Gardens,” “This Old House,” “Home & Design,” “Washingtonian,” “Southern Living,” and on HGTV. Trends, an international publishing company of home design books and magazines, has recognized JGKB’s projects as being in the “Top 50 American Kitchens” and the “Top 50 American Bathroom” categories.
