Our Remodeling Process
Initial Consultation
Meet with one of our designers to discuss your project’s scope, create an initial layout, and estimate costs. At the end of this meeting, the client will receive a retainer agreement.
Retainer Agreement
Once the client decides to move forward, they sign the retainer agreement and pay the required fee, officially starting the project.
Measurements
Remodeling: A designer or design associate will visit the client's home to take precise measurements of the space.
New Construction: We will coordinate with the client's architect or contractor to obtain dimensioned plans. Once framing is complete, the job site will be measured again, and drawings will be adjusted to reflect actual dimensions.
Drafting
Your designer drafts detailed plan views and elevations in order to incorporate the ideas that have been discussed and to explore other possibilities to present.
Design Meetings
Design meetings will take place in our showroom with a designer or design associate. This phase typically spans four to eight weeks, depending on availability and decision-making speed. Drawings will be updated after each meeting to incorporate the client's project decisions.
Project Estimate
We prepare a more formal project estimate to make sure that it is in line with our initial rough estimate.
Contractor Job Site Visit
We accompany the contractor(s) to our client's home so that he can prepare his labor contract.
Material Selections
In concert with the plan review, we help to select cabinet door styles and finishes. We can also look at some countertop and cabinet hardware options in our resource room. We also prepare a list of appliances and help our clients to order them from our trusted source.
Field Trips
We accompany our clients to the stone yard for counter selections as well as to the tile and plumbing fixture showrooms.
Realistic Renderings
When all materials are selected, we incorporate them into a photo realistic rendering at which time the design may be refined even more.
Contract
Once the plans and materials are finalized, we prepare the cabinet contract along with other selected materials. Once the 50% deposit is paid we then release a set of plans to the client and place the orders.
