Nancy took on the challenge and worked with me to understand our needs. She was exceptional at incorporating our requests, and she added her strong and intuitive design skills with a focus on function and style to deliver a gorgeous, unique, and exceedingly usable kitchen.”

The previous builder-grade kitchen felt drab and heavy even for a space flooded with natural light. We set out to create a bright, open kitchen with clean lines, but also giving a nod to the home’s original 1920 character. Instead of immediately going to a white painted cabinet in order to achieve a bright kitchen, we decided to focus on warmer materials in a white oiled rift white oak and a walnut island. The walnut island was built as a custom freestanding piece with open shelf storage below.

From conception to completion, Jennifer’s Kitchen & Bath’s team was a pleasure to work with. The crown jewel of our home, the kitchen, evolved into reality with style and function. Five star service.

This is our third JGKB kitchen, each one thoughtfully artistic and ergonomic, with its own character and vibe, but this one shines the brightest. The old kitchen it replaced, and the space it occupied, were in dire need of rearranging and updating. Jennifer’s design removed a wall, opened up the vaulted ceiling on one side, and reconfigured the adjoining powder room so that it worked seamlessly with the rest of the design. The walnut countertop, with waterfall sides, created just the right touch of contrast with the maple cabinets, and the walnut cabinets and wine cooler below gave that section an integrated but stand-alone look. We couldn’t be happier with the final result, and it blends right in with our waterfront views. Thank you, Jennifer!

Throughout the design process, she listened and understood right away what we wanted and delivered a very creative, gorgeous, and functional design for our large space. It was great being able to see what the finished project would look like on the screen before we started. We are a family of serious cooks and she was able to design a space where several of us are working in the kitchen at the same time, without getting in each other’s way. We never want to leave our kitchen! The timeline from design to completion was realistic and Mari Jo kept us informed every step of the way. I only wish I had found Mari Jo earlier so she could’ve done our bathroom as well.

Jennifer’s experience was evident when she came to our home and within minutes re-conceptualized the entire organization of our kitchen space. Her initial idea was carried through to the final plan. The end result is far more functional and aesthetically pleasing, while maximizing the view and natural lighting. Most importantly, we love being in this new space!

We recently did a complete kitchen remodel with the incredible design work of Meghan Browne from Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath. She did an incredible job of listening to our needs, evaluating our style sense, and finding solutions that maximized our space while making sure the kitchen matched the rest of the house.
