Renovating a house made up of 1990’s construction full of angled walls can be a challenge. Our clients came to us wanting to update their kitchen and bathrooms. Because of the existing floor plan there wasn’t much that could be done with the kitchen footprint without exposing the kitchen to every room in the house. Instead we opted to embrace the current architecture by adding interesting light reflecting surfaces and simplifying door styles.
The hood and fridge surround are made with metal strapping and etched glass panels. The perimeter cabinets are high lacquered paint which keeps the kitchen light and bright. The island adds a pop of color with an embossed oxblood leather door and wenge wood top. The wood top is warmer to sit at and allows the family to sit together.
