Modern Beach Retreat Kitchen in Fenwick Island, DE

This waterfront home along the Delaware shores needed a complete design overhaul. The previous layout included an awkwardly located island and an uninspiring design palette.
The design revamps features sleek modern materials paired with a warm rift white oak. The light blue/grey high gloss cabinets are strategically placed to reflect the ocean view while also housing the fully integrated refrigerator and pantry. The waterfall marble countertop envelopes a wine storage cabinet on three sides, creating a sculptural ending point of the island. The same countertop material was used as the backsplash, which showcases the dramatic veining.
The kitchen also features bi-fold tilt-up cabinets with a frosted glass door and an appliance garage to creatively store away the homeowner’s Nespresso machine.
