Stylish Kosher Kitchen

Bethesda magazine featured a JGKB kitchen in their story about current kitchen design trends. This feature highlights a striking kitchen in Silver Spring, where JGKB crafted a unique space tailored to a family of five who keeps kosher and hosts festive Jewish holidays.

To achieve a kitchen that was both distinct and functional, JGKB incorporated two different types of tiles to infuse personality into the design. The layout includes abundant cabinetry, dual sinks, dishwashers, and ovens to support efficient meal preparation. By placing the ovens side-by-side rather than stacking them, we created space for a vibrant backsplash of orange stained glass tiles, which serves as a captivating focal point.

The other walls are adorned with rough-cut stone tiles, adding warmth and complementing the gray cabinetry. Despite the double appliances—two dishwashers, two sinks, and two ovens—this kosher kitchen maintains a spacious and serene ambiance.
