Bethesda magazine featured a JGKB kitchen in their story about current kitchen design trends. In this Silver Spring kitchen, JGKB used two different tiles to add personality to a client’s kitchen who wanted “something that was very different, but functional.” This family of five keeps kosher and entertains every Jewish holiday. Abundant cabinetry, dual sinks, dishwashers and ovens facilitate proper meal preparation. Placing the ovens side-by-side, instead of stacking them, allowed room for a backsplash of vibrant orange stained glass tiles and created a focal point. Rough cut stone tiles form the backsplash on the kitchen’s other two walls, complementing the gray cabinetry and add another element of warmth.

This kosher kitchen has twice the number of appliances yet it retains a spacious, calm ambiance.
